Multiple Discs

Hello,

i'm using hmm since many years and have organized my music collection in a way you suggested for hmm prior to 12. Especially i mean albums with multiple discs. They are organized in different folders for every disc. Like xy Disc 1, xy Disc 2.

With hmm 12 i have the problem that every disc counts as an own album.

Is there a need of a different directory structure?

regards

Hello,

This should not be different compared to earlier versions meaning that if your albums follows a structure like "album\cd 1" and "album\cd 2" (or other allowed combinations) it should work just as before.

Can you share a screenshot of the folder structure (from Windows Explorer) for an album where each disc becomes an own album?

Please try this version with improvements for folders ending with "disc???" and "disk???" to see if it will solve your case:

great news, thanks

Thanks for the update Andreas.

The fix was made for albums ending with *CD?x" as in your example.

Entries ending with "disc?*" are not handled in this case, but we will add that.

Hello Mikael,

thanks. I've downloaded the new version.

I'm afraid, but I don't think it's better now. I have created a new SQL server 2016 database before adding.

Greetings

Can you please try and add your albums with this build to see if it solves your problem?

The recommended way it to use the structures since other functions such as move remining files etc. relies on that structure (just as in older versions).

You can move it if you like, we will analyse your exact case further with some test data.

Unfortunately you send some screenshot which was not from Windows Explorer (from an Android device?), but I think we have enough information to test it out further.

And here the screen
Ah I see. My folder structure is different Artist 1\Album 1 CD 1 Artist 1\ Album 1 CD 2 Artist 1\ Album 2 It worked for me that way in hmm previous release 12. I have to move everything everything? Greetings Andreas
