Like in SoundCloud, Beatport etc.
@Alex: I assume that you would like to shrink the height a bit?
I will see if this can be solved in an easy-to-use way.
Yes, as an alternative to the standard position slider. Useful to easily find CUE points and such.
I was probably fooled a bit by the implementation in Bass.NET which also call it a waveform (http://www.bass.radio42.com/help/html/6a20df3a-a6fd-486b-74e7-3a0a65f7e545.htm)
I will keep the waveform term since it is more known.
>>I was probably fooled a bit by the implementation in Bass.NET which also call it a waveform
no Problem :)
really nice, i like that!
Can you please make the frame a little bit smaller or resizable?

Then I have no idea what I'm looking at... A stereo waveform looks like this:
Does it only show the volume units?
Yes, the height only.
The moving indicator seems also not very smooth, i'm not sure but i think you update it every second? Sometimes it seems not to be updated in the same intervall.
Can you increase the update rate if it doesn't take too much cpu usage?
Please try with this build:
You will be able to set the height via the context menu in this build (4 predefined heights)
>>Can you increase the update rate if it doesn't take too much cpu usage?
Unfortunately not at the moment, since it will eat too much CPU on some systems and some calculations needs to be redone to achive this.
Possibly for a future release.
The context menu option is a good solution :)
What happens during playback if you change the size of the whole window?
I'm not totally sure whats happening, but it looks like the scaling of the waveform is incorrect afterwards?
When i click near the end of the waveform, it skipped to the next track
Upon each resize of the window, the waveform will be re-rendered with the new size.
I tested this case:
1) Neon maximized, played a file that was 4:04 long
2) Clicked in the middle marker > skipped to 02:00 (correct, since the major markers are minutes)
3) Resized the window
4) Clicked on the marker to the left of the middle marker, playback was playing from 03:00 (correct)
The markers are correct, you're right. I meant the waveform itself.
See the screenshots, i made the window smaller and the silent ending is missing.
Can you please re-upload the before image?
When I download it, it get's broken just before the waveform appears.
ok, second upload
