Yes, as an alternative to the standard position slider. Useful to easily find CUE points and such.

Implemented in build 496.

Sorry that is NOT a WaveForm that is a Spectrum

I actually think it'should the same term. Check here for example: https://developers.soundcloud.com/blog/ios-waveform-rendering No matter of which term that's used, the result is what was designed to be implemented.

I wanted to tell only the correct naming
What is to show a spectrum of all samples in the stream
Wave is the ...

You can do what you want no Problem

Thanks Emil.

I was probably fooled a bit by the implementation in Bass.NET which also call it a waveform (http://www.bass.radio42.com/help/html/6a20df3a-a6fd-486b-74e7-3a0a65f7e545.htm)

I will keep the waveform term since it is more known.

no Problem :)

really nice, i like that!

Can you please make the frame a little bit smaller or resizable?

@Alex: I assume that you would like to shrink the height a bit?

I will see if this can be solved in an easy-to-use way.

Yes, the height only.

The moving indicator seems also not very smooth, i'm not sure but i think you update it every second? Sometimes it seems not to be updated in the same intervall.

Can you increase the update rate if it doesn't take too much cpu usage?

Hi Alex,

Please try with this build:

http://files.helium.fm/helium_0.5.501.0.exe

You will be able to set the height via the context menu in this build (4 predefined heights)

Unfortunately not at the moment, since it will eat too much CPU on some systems and some calculations needs to be redone to achive this.

Possibly for a future release.

The context menu option is a good solution :)

Thanks

What happens during playback if you change the size of the whole window?

I'm not totally sure whats happening, but it looks like the scaling of the waveform is incorrect afterwards?

When i click near the end of the waveform, it skipped to the next track
